Fuel Fired Furnaces

AXIS TILTING TYPE ROTARY FURNACES are the advanced design of conventional rotary furnace. TTRF are generally used in the melting plants like aluminum recycling, aluminum dross melting, lead/zinc recycling and dross melting, all non-ferrous metals.

This furnace has a fabricated tilting and stationery membrane. The furnace is made up of heavy duty mild steel sections and plates with sufficient wall thickness. Furnace will be lined with monolithic ramming mass suitable for applications upto 120°C. Furnace lining work will be carried out at the customer end in order to avoid breakages in transportation.

Furnace will be supplied with AXIS oxy-fuel systems suitable for the fuels like HSD, LDO, FO, PG, NG, COG, and LPG. Additional accessories like fuel tank, transferring pumping systems, liquid fuel handling systems, centrifugal air blower, gas handling & safety systems will also be supplied.

AXIS ROTARY MELTING FURNACE are highly efficient melting units. This furnace is used in non-ferrous melting for bulk melting and alloying use widely. The design and its performance will be unmatched by other manufacturers as our design is user friendly.

The furnace is consists of a cylindrical shell fitted with two steel tyres supported on a rollers mounted on a fabricated base frame. The shell has two spouts and two lifting trunions and is rotated by friction between the tyres and rollers, which are driven by a motor via a worm and worm reduction gear. Manual drive position is also a standard feature and it will also given for motorized setup as an emergency drive unit.

Axis fuel efficient combustion system will be offered capable to handle 350°C of preheated air with the fuels like HSD, LDO, LSHS, Fuel Oil, PG, LNG, CNG, NG, and LPG.

A cylindrical radiation-type recuperator utilizing waste products of combustion is provided to heat the combustion air. This system also can be offered along with pollution control equipment’s with the norms narrated by CPC department, India for lead and zinc melting applications. We also can meet other countries standards.

AXIS REVERBARATORY FURNACE are used primarily for melting copper and its alloys such as bronze and brass, and other metals like aluminium, lead and zinc. The furnace is supplied with refractory lining, tilting arrangement, and conventional/compact combustion system.

The furnace is constructed from reinforced mild steel plates of substantial thickness and is supported on a heavy fabricated stand suitable for gear/motor tilting, hydraulic with power pack tilting system all are user selection. The gear drive consists of two cylinders at both ends get tilted with power pack and directional valve.

The furnace can be fitted with Axis’s fuel efficient conventional/compact combustion system for the fuels like HSD, LDO, LSHS, Fuel Oil, PG, NG, LNG, CNG, and LPG. The burner is designed fire tangentially from the shell to the pouring axis. Waste gases pass through the chimney on top, which can be serve as a charging door. This ultimately serves in other way to preheat the solid scrap. Furnace extraction unit can be offered as an optional.

CENTRAL AXIS TILTING FURNACES are supplied as complete refractory line packages with blower, burner and crucible. The durable body is constructed from thick reinforced steel plates and supported on a stand by turnnions which move on anti-friction bearings. A graphite crucible and stand are providing, along with the muffle ring and cover for top of the crucible. Depending on the size and client’s option.

A side mounted tilting gear arrangement with a large hand wheel allows easy manual operation. Motorized & hydraulic tilting with inching facility available.

The furnace is fitted with Axis self proportionating Oil/Gas burner. Preheated oil at content pressures is supplied by an Axis pumping and heating system. Combustion air will be supplied by Axis centrifugal air blower to burner.

The burner fires tangentially inside the shell lining into a circular combustion space so that the hot gases surround the crucible, ensuring uniform heating. Waste gases pass out through a flue at one side, allowing reasonable working conditions for the operator. Normally the flue discharge is upward for top exhaust. Optionally, waste gases collected in a fume extraction hood for discharge outside the production area.

AXIS BALE OUT FURNACES FOR ALUMINIUM, BRASS & GUN METALS are efficient and complete melting and holding units. The furnace is refractory lined and supplied as a complete package which includes blower, burner and crucible. The durable body is constructed from thick reinforced mild steel plates. The crucible is available in options of either cast iron, graphite or, silicon carbide crucibles.

The furnace is supplied with a Axis self proportionating burner/compact type burner/conventional type burner for all fuels can be supplied.

Combustion air will be passed by Axis centrifugal air blower either direct or through recuperator. Preheated oil will be supplied to the burner at a constant pressure to the burner from Axis Pumping and Heating unit.

Axis Heat Treatment Furnaces are used for treatment of metals for further processing of materials. The treatment of the metal ensures the change in grain structure of the material treated. The treatment applications are ageing, anodizing, annealing, tempering, normalizing etc.

The furnace is constructed from reinforced mild steel plates of substantial thickness and is supported on a heavy fabricated structure. Depending on the size and capacity of the furnace, the drive mechanism will be either, geared motor drive, hydraulic drive and chain pulley drive.

In addition to the fuel fired furnace, the important system required is “Combustion System”. The basic function of the combustion system apart from heat generation is heat re-circulation and better heat conversion by means of conduction, convection and radiation.
