PRECISE CONTROL OIL VALVE

Call our Experts
Precise Control Oil Valve

Precise Control Oil Valve-1100 is used for setting ratio when burner is on oil; it is shut off when burning gas. Precise Control Oil Valve-1100 are precision built, factory calibrated valves for manual or motorized control of oil flow to industrial burners.

Precise Control Oil Valve-1100 are manual valves used as limiting orifices in setting oil/air ratio and as tight shutoff valves to prevent oil tripling into burners during shutdown. An additional shutoff valve in the line which permits shutting off the burner without disturbing the precise control’ ratios setting position is recommended.

These valves have an adjustable detent mechanism that provides memory for desired valve operating position. A spring loaded steel ball fits into a hollow in an adjustable collar, whose position is secured by a setscrew. The handle can be pushed past the detent position easily to open the valve wide temporarily for light-off or clean out.

1100-K Manual Precise Controls have cut down handles to lessen chances of accidental changes in valve setting.

1100M Motorized Precise Controls, for automatic control of oil flow, are available with brackets and linkage for most standard control motors. Although these valves have ten dial positions, linkage geometry limits valve travel to seven positions.

CONSTRUCTION

1100-03A and -02A valves have forged brass bodies, Viton U-cup, and precision ground, hardened stainless steel port seats. A V-port in the upper, rotating disc exposes varying areas of a circular port in the lower seat. The triangular opening is highly resistant to clogging or fouling.

1100-01A and 1100M-01A Valves have cast brass bodies and precision ground, lapped conical seats that form a clog resistant triangular opening.

THROTTLING AIR VALVE

Throttling Air Valve

Throttling Air Valves-2211 features a knurled knob locking device that prevents accidental shifting of valve setting. It is easily released, then re-locked, if a new setting is desired. To discourage un authorized tampering with the valve setting, the knob can be released with a socket head screw as the locking device. The socket head screw is conveniently supplied in the side of the knob.

Valves can be used on gas as well as air. The locking device makes them advantageous as max set gas valves, often referable to fixed orifices, which are difficult to select in advance or change in the field.

Beveled discs minimize leakage through the valve in the closed position. Maximum pressure is 15psig, maximum temperature 200°C. For fluid temperatures up to 350°C a 2211-H “Hi-Temp” model is available.

SELECTION

In most cases, a 2211 throttling air valve should be the same pipe size as the burner connection it serves and/or other items in the line. If valve capacity is critical, reducing fittings could create enough additional pressure drops to cause a problem.

CONSTRUCTION

Valve bodies are sturdy, thick-walled iron castings, short in length to facilitate piping. Threads or flanges are carefully machined to provide accurate alignment of valve throat with the piping.

The 3", 4", and 6" valves are offered with either threaded or flanged connections. Flanged valves match ANSI 125 psi and are designated 2211-F. Use flat face companion flanges and full face gaskets when installing this equipment. Raised face flanges may damage the valve body.

MAX SET GAS VALVE

Max Set Gas Valve

Max Set Gas Valve-1001 is used to set air/gas ratio on a nozzle-mix burner. It has a V-port plug that can be adjusted sensitively and accurately with a screwdriver. Turning the screw counterclockwise increases flow. A cap conceals the adjustment and discourages tampering with the setting. If an adjustment is needed, replace top cap on valve body to reduce air or gas leaks.

The V-port adjustment is in a removable gas cartridge assembly, simplifying inspection or replacement. Max set gas valves have brass internals; 1001-K Valves have iron internals for coke gas and others corrosive to brass; 1001-TK Valves are for hot gases.

AIR/OIL RATIOTROL

Call our Experts
Air Oil Ratiotrol

Axis air/oil ratiotrol -7052 proportion oil flow to combustion air flow in cross-connected control systems. Outlet oil pressure from the ratiotrol is proportional to the impulse air signal:

7052-01: Outlet pressure is 10 times impulse pressure.

7052-0: Outlet pressure is 12 times impulse pressure

Therefore, as combustion air is turned up or down the ratiotrol causes oil to follow it in proportion. Desired air/oil ratio is set with a manual – valve (1813 Sensitrol Oil Valve) at the burner.
